Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 Assists in Rescue of Stranded Boaters Near Guam

ROTA, Northern Mariana Islands (Feb. 5, 2015)- Sailors from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam and rescue crews from Rota, 40 nautical miles north-northeast of the U.S. territory of Guam, recovered three stranded boaters a mile offshore near the village of Songsong.

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (Feb. 4, 2015) - Soldiers of the 45th Special Troops Battalion, 45th Sustainment Brigade march onto Hamilton Field during an uncasing ceremony. A portion of the brigade headquarters recently returned from Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, in December 2014 after completing the CENTCOM Materiel Recovery Element mission, which focused on retrograde and deconstruction. They resumed control of the brigade’s two battalions and the sustainment mission in the Pacific.

BAF BASE BANGABANDHU, Bangladesh (Jan. 28, 2015) - Two Bangladesh F-7BG Defenders, a BAF C-130B Hercules, and two U.S. Air Force C-130H Hercules aircraft prepare to take off during Exercise COPE SOUTH. The U.S. C-130H is assigned to the 374th Airlift Wing, Yokota Air base, Japan; the BAF F-7BGs are assigned to 5th Squadron and the BAF C-130B is assigned to 101st Special Flying Unit at BAF Base Bangabandhu. COPE SOUTH is a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored, bilateral tactical airlift exercise conducted in Bangladesh, with a focus on cooperative flight operations, day and night low-level navigation, tactical airdrop, and air-land missions as well as subject-matter expert exchanges in the fields of operations, maintenance and rigging disciplines.
