NMCB 1 is collaborating with the Public Works Department of the USAG-KA on the construction of shower and restroom facilities for Marshallese laborers of Kwajalein Atoll during NMCB 1’s deployment to provide humanitarian aid to the Republic of Marshall Islands.

Marines attended the Shallow Water Egress Training Course to prepare them in the event that their vehicle were to crash in water. Jeffrey Soboleski, a Baltimore, Md., native and physician assistant from Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division/ ROK-U.S. Combined Division, with an Army Achievement Medal during the Expert Field Medical Badge graduation ceremony Nov. 24 at Camp Casey, South Korea. Soboleski was recognized as one of the course's honor graduate after earning the highest written test score with a 93 percent.
