US Army Pilots Train with U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Team

HONOLULU, Hawaii (Feb. 17, 2016) -  A Coast Guard rescue team from Coast Guard Station Barbers Point extracts U.S. Army pilots of 2-6 Cavalry Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation from the ocean approx. one mile off the coast of Honolulu. The Osprey brings a longer travel range and bigger capacity for supplies compared to traditional helicopters, but it can access tighter spaces than a traditional fixed-wing aircraft. OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea (Feb. 16, 2016) - Pfc. Eli Schaap, an air defense battle management system operator assigned to E Battery, 6th Battalion, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, hands off a M134 Stinger Missile to Pvt. Imaris Suarez during a readiness drill.  The Soldiers are stationed at Camp Casey, South Korea and are conducting a cross-training exercise with Patriot air defense forces across the peninsula.

The construction at Ban Phromnimit was one of six humanitarian civic action sites in which the Thai, U.S. and partner nation’s militaries will work together on civic programs during Cobra Gold 2016. Cobra Gold, in its 35th iteration, demonstrates the commitment of the Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. to our long-standing alliance and regional partnership toward advancing prosperity and security in the Asia-Pacific region. Duenas is the officer in charge with HCA Site 6, Combined Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force.
