OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea (Nov. 3, 2015) - Members of the 731st Air Mobility Squadron perform a running offload of a C-130 Hercules from Yokota Air Base, Japan, at Osan Air Base.  Not stopping the engines during the offload means the aircrew does not have to run multiple checklists and procedures, thus saving time and resources during Vigilant Ace 16. Vigilant Ace 16 is a large-scale exercise designed to enhance combat capabilities and interoperability of the U.S. and Republic of Korea Air Forces.

The munitions Airmen can load up to 16,000 pounds of mixed ordnance onto the A-10 airframe. The A-10 is powered by two General Electric TF34-GE-100 turbofan engines producing 9,065 pounds of thrust each, and the A-10 is capable  of reaching speeds of 450 nautical miles per hour.
