SAIPAN (Aug. 11, 2015) - U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st
 Marine Expeditionary Unit, distribute water to local civilians during typhoon relief efforts. The 31st MEU and the ships of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group are assisting the Federal Emergency Management Agency with distributing emergency relief supplies to Saipan after the island was struck by Typhoon Soudelor Aug. 2-3.

Kadena Explosive Ordnance Disposal Disposes of Munitions

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan (Aug. 12, 2015) - The 18th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight destroys unserviceable munitions as well as unexploaded ordnance using 50 M112 Demolition blocks of C-4 explosives on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Aug. 12, 2015. The team routinely disposes of unserviceable munitions and recovered UXOs found on Kadena.

PORT DICKSON, Malaysia (Aug. 12, 2015) - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Denise Wisniewski, Hawaii Army National Guard, Medical Detachment combat medic, teaches first responder medical techniques to members of the Malaysian armed forces as part of Exercise Keris Aman 2015 at the Segenting Camp.  Keris Aman is the largest multinational training event this year and is co-hosted by the Malaysian armed forces and U.S. Pacific Command with representatives from 29 nations participating. The goals and objectives of the training event are to increase participants' interoperability and peacekeeping skills prior to deployment to UN missions.

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (Aug. 12, 2015) - A Nepalese soldier fights alongside a U.S. Army Alaska specialist during an exercise during the Warrior Leader Course (WLC). The WLC, hosted at the Sergeant First Class Christopher R. Brevard Noncommissioned Officer Academy on JBER, is a month-long, hard-hitting and intensive course that teaches the basic skills to lead small groups of Soldiers and advance to the rank of sergeant. The student exchange is an ongoing part of USARAK's collaboration with Nepal as part of the Regional Partnership Program, which is designed to enhance interoperability for a variety mission sets across the Pacific theater.

SAIPAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Saipan  (Aug. 12, 2015) - US Air Force Senior Airman Louie Lascina from the 36th Contingency Response Group and a native of Saipan, stages cases of water to be distributed to island residents as part of Typhoon Soudelor relief efforts. A joint team of U.S. military assets are assisting the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Red Cross with transporting supplies through Saipan International Airport.

PORT DICKSON, Malaysia (Aug. 11, 2015) - Armed forces members of the U.S. and Malaysia stand in formation during the Exercise Keris Aman 2015 opening ceremony held at the Segenting Camp's Army Academy Parade Ground in Port Dickson.  Keris Aman is a multinational training event co-hosted by the Malaysian Armed Forces and U.S. Pacific Command with representatives from 29 nations participating. Training events and exercises such as Keris Aman contribute to regional peacekeeping training capacity and strengthen multinational cooperation in global missions.
