SANTA RITA, Guam (April 4, 2019) Sailors assigned to Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 1, Det. Guam, lift a Mark VI patrol boat assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 2, Det. Guam, during a first-time proof of concept lift operation aboard the Military Sealift Command maritime prepositioning force ship USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo (T-AK 3008). NCHB-1, Detachment Guam, assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, is the Navy's only active duty cargo handling battalion. KUCHING, Malaysia (April 6, 2019) – Malaysian secondary school students attend Emergency Preparedness Camp with members of Pacific Partnership 2019. The camp teaches humanitarian assistance and disaster relief awareness by using English as a vehicle for understanding each other. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific.
