FORT IRWIN, Ca (Jan. 10, 2014) - Soldiers from 1st Striker Brigade Combat Team, "Arctic Wolves", transport over 600 vehicles from the rail yard in preparation for their deployment validation at the National Training Center.  The decisive-action rotation is designed to test and validate the Alaska brigade's full spectrum capacity to conduct a wide variety of mission sets.

JAVA SEA (Jan. 3, 2015) - U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam Garnett signals an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter from Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 35 on the flight deck of the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth. Fort Worth is currently in the Java Sea conducting helicopter search-and-recovery operations with the USS Sampson as part of Indonesian-led efforts to locate downed AirAsia Flight 8501.
