SEPANGGAR, Malaysia (Jan. 22, 2015) - Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Janie Saldivar, a native of De Queen, Ark., stands by on the forecastle of the dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) while the ship is moored for a port visit. Comstock, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is on a deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to promote peace and freedom of the seas by providing security and stability in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.

Aggressors Take Off for Joint, Coalition Training in Pacific

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska (Jan. 17, 2015) - One of 14 U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft with the 18th Aggressor Squadron takes off shortly after sunrise in transit to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, and Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, to participate in the SENTRY ALOHA and COPE NORTH exercises. More than 150 maintainers will keep the Aggressors in the air during the exercises, which are meant to prepare U.S. Airmen, Sailors and Marines along with coalition partners in the Pacific theater of operations for contingency operations if the need arises.
