Work Praises U.S., Australia, New Zealand Partnership

WASHINGTON (Apr. 22, 2015) - Deputy Defense Secretary Bob Work hosts a ribbon-cutting ceremony with senior officials from Australia and New Zealand in the Pentagon's Australia, New Zealand and United States Corridor. The event also acknowledges ANZAC Day, which commemorates the military accomplishments of the Australian and New Zealand forces, and World War I's Battle of Gallipoli.

PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN, Philippines (Apr. 21, 2015) - Service members of the U.S. military, Australian Army and Philippine Air Force work together to construct a two classroom Department of the Philippines Standard Building at ENCAP Site 1, Santa Lourdes National High School during exercise Balikatan.  The joint and multinational team consists of service members with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, Australian Army, and Philippine Air Force. This year marks the 31st iteration of the exercise, which is an annual Philippines-U.S. bilateral military training exercise and humanitarian civic assistance engagement.

Following in the steps of Reeman's father, who served 18 months in the ROK as an enlisted Marine in the 1950's, this is both Reeman and Jamison's first time being not only deployed together, but the first time both Airmen have been to the ROK.
