Exercise Khaan Quest 2022

U.S. Embassy in Mongolia -- The Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command have announced their participation in Exercise KHAAN QUEST 2022, scheduled to take place at the Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, June 6-17, 2022.

Khaan Quest 2022 is a regularly scheduled, multinational exercise co-sponsored by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and hosted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces. KQ22 is the latest in a series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mongolia’s first UN peacekeeping contribution.

Khaan Quest 2022 includes a combined brigade-level command post exercise (CPX) and battalion-level field training exercise (FTX). It focuses on peace keeping operations (PKO) within a realistic scenario and coordination with humanitarian organizations and host nation partners.

Approximately 94 U.S. personnel and 956 partner-force personnel are expected, totaling 1050 exercise participants.

Khaan Quest 22 will provide participants United Nations training and certification through realistic peace support operations and will enhance UN PKO interoperability and military relationships among the participating nations.
