Homeported in Pearl Harbor, Cheyenne is the 62nd and the last Los Angeles-class attack submarine.

The message routing board is one of the few remaining relics of the apparatus from Station Hypo, which deciphered the Japanese Imperial Navy code leading to the U.S. victory at the Battle of Midway June 4-6, 1942. The retired Marines were among a small group who toured the site of Station Hypo following a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of the victory at Midway, often considered the turning point of the war in the Pacific.

Key West visits Singapore during Indo-Asia-Pacific Deployment

The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Key West (SSN 722), the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104), and the Royal Thai Navy frigate HTMS Naresuan (FFG 421) and the corvette HTMS Long Lom (FS 533) conduct a transit exercise as part of Exercise Guardian Sea 2017. Sterett is part of the Sterett-Dewey Surface Action Group and is the third deploying group operating under the command and control construct called 3rd Fleet Forward. U.S. 3rd Fleet operating forward offers additional options to the Pacific Fleet commander by leveraging the capabilities of 3rd and 7th Fleets.
