The President and First Lady of the Republic of Kiribati Visit the Pacific Partnership Opening Ceremony
REPUBLIC OF KIRIBATI (June 2, 2015) - The president of the Republic of Kiribati Anote Tong and First Lady Madam Tong arrive at the opening ceremony for Pacific Partnership in Kiribat and to celebrate the arrival of joint high speed vessel USNS Millinocket (JHSV 3). Millinocket is serving as the secondary platform for Pacific Partnership, led by an expeditionary command element from the Navy's 30th Naval Construction Regiment (30 NCR) from Port Hueneme, Calif. Now in its 10th iteration, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions have provided medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals. Additionally, PP15 has provided critical infrastructure development to host nations through the completion of more than 180 engineering projects.

Leaders compete in Thunder Crucible
CAMP CASEY, South Korea (May 27, 2015) - Courtesy Competitors from the 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, don their Mission-Oriented Protective Posture gear during the brigade's annual Thunder Crucible event. KSC Deploys to U.S. for Field Training

Nepal HADR
KATHMANDU, Nepal (May 5, 2015) - Lt. Gen. John E. Wissler meets with Alfonso Lenhardt and members of the United States Agency of International Development at Tribhuvan international airport before they depart to village Bhirkuna Deurali, Nepal. After Nepal was struck by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake Wissler and USAID members distribute supplies including tarps, sleeping systems and water purification solution. The Nepalese Government requested the U.S. Government's help after the earthquake. USAID is a U.S. Government agency that gives civilian foreign aid in time of natural disasters. Wissler is the commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force.

USS Oklahoma City visits Japan during routine patrol

BK15 multinational team teaches health workers first responder skills
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN, Philippines (Apr. 22, 2015) - U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Gary Held, 374th Medical Operations Squadron medical technician and Cooperative Health Engagement instructor, provides feedback to local health workers on their response to a mass casualty training scenario as part of exercise Balikatan's first responder training. U.S. military and Armed Forces of the Philippines training instructors worked shoulder-to-shoulder to train 179 health workers and members of other local agencies to learn skills and techniques to better respond to a mass casualty. This year marks the 31st iteration of the exercise, which is an annual Philippine-U.S. bilateral military training exercise and humanitarian civic assistance engagement.

Multinational team, community conduct shoulder-to-shoulder construction during exercise Balikatan
PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN, Philippines (Apr. 21, 2015) - Service members of the U.S. military, Australian Army and Philippine Air Force work together to construct a two classroom Department of the Philippines Standard Building at ENCAP Site 1, Santa Lourdes National High School during exercise Balikatan. The joint and multinational team consists of service members with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, Australian Army, and Philippine Air Force. Multinational team prepares for Pacific Endeavor
HONOLULU, Hawaii (Mar. 23, 2015) - U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Nancy Norton, U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) director for Command, Control, Communications and Cyber, provides opening remarks during the Multinational Communications Interoperability Program (MCIP) Planning Staff Workshop 2, in preparation for the upcoming humanitarian and disaster relief capstone event Pacific Endeavor (PE), at the Ala Moana Hotel. Pacific Endeavor is a series of events that occur each year designed to manage the momentum of the Indo-Asia Pacific rebalance and strengthen relationships with allies and partners by testing the communications response to a natural disaster. PE15 is scheduled to take place in Manila, Philippines, for approximately two weeks during the months of August and September and is set to involve 20 allied and partner nations.

21 Nations Participate in Largest Peacekeeping Training Event
