Shiji Miyahara, Base Defense Development Training squadron instructors, demonstrate combative maneuvers to Royal Australian Air Force, U.S. Air Force, and Koku Jietai (JASDF) personnel during Pacific Defender 20-1 at the Pacific Regional Training Center near Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 9, 2020. Pacific Defender 20-1 was a week-long exchange of various security forces tactics, techniques, and procedures including hand-to-hand combatives and Military Working Dog operations.

Commander Task Force-72 Wraps Up Sea Dragon 2020
Service members from the U.S Navy, Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) and the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) attend a mission planning brief for operation Sea Dragon, Jan. 28. Sea Dragon is a multi-lateral anti-submarine warfare exercise that improves the interoperability elements required to effectively and cohesively respond to the defense of a regional contingency in the Indo- Pacific, while continuing to build and strengthen relationships held between nations.

U.S. Navy’s Triton Unmanned Aircraft System Arrives in 7th Fleet
An MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft system (UAS) sits in a hangar at Andersen Air Force Base after arriving for a deployment as part of an early operational capability (EOC) to further develop the concept of operations and fleet learning associated with operating a high-altitude, long-endurance system in the maritime domain. Unmanned Patrol Squadron (VUP) 19, the first Triton UAS squadron, will operate and maintain two aircraft in Guam under Commander, Task Force (CTF) 72, the U.S. Navy's lead for patrol, reconnaissance and surveillance forces in U.S. 7th Fleet.

Key West Conducts Mobile Logistics Demonstration
The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Key West (SSN 722) moors to the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd during a mobile logistics demonstration. Five Low-Cost, Low-Altitude humanitarian aid bundles are airdropped from a U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules out of Yokota Air Base, Japan, during Operation Christmas Drop 2019, Woleai, Federated States of Micronesia, Dec. 10, 2019. Every December C-130 crews from the U.S.A.F. team up with the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Air Force, and Royal New Zealand Air Force for OCD, a humanitarian aid and disaster relief training exercise designed to airdrop critical supplies to remote islands like Woleai throughout the FSM and the Republic of Palau.

Submarine Squadron 15 Sailors, Community Clean Inarajan Middle School

The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723), assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 15, steams ahead of U.S., Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), and Indian ships during the Malabar 2019 Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX). An annual, multinational, naval field training exercise, Malabar is designed to improve the collective maritime relationship between the JMSDF, Indian and U.S. navies.
