YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan - U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Tucker Hunt, 374th Security Forces Squadron patrolman, engages in close-quarters combat during a combined arms attack as part of the U.S.-Japan Guard and Protect joint field training, incorporated into Exercise Beverly Morning 24-1 at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 24, 2023. Guard and Protect is a bilateral agreement, signed in 2003, between the American and Japanese governments, which ensures JASDF and JGSDF security augmentation at U.S. installations throughout Japan during heightened defense postures.
