Direct Air Support Center Ensures Air-ground Support during TS19

ROCKHAMPTON, QLD, Australia - U.S. Marine Air Support Squadron-2 Direct Air Support Center (DASC) members perform an inspection, during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 at Tiger Hill, Queensland, July 20, 2019. The DASC controls the airspace above the battlefield, ensuring aircraft are aware of safety issues such as artillery fires or enemy surface to air threats, receiving immediate requests for air support from ground forces and managing direct air support missions in support of ground forces.
