USS Shoup Arrives in American Samoa as Part of OMSI Deployment

The guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) sails into the harbor of Pago Pago for a port visit. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a secretary of defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
