7th Fleet Aircraft Locates Missing Mariners in Indian Ocean

A missing fishing vessel floats in the Indian Ocean after being located by a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, July 10. The P8-A from Patrol Squadron (VP) 45 joined the search effort at the request of the Sri Lankan Navy. The P-8A is the world’s newest, most capable maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft and operates regularly throughout the Indo-Pacific in support of regional security and stability.
