Australian and New Zealand service members stand in formation to honor the wreckage of modified Leander-class light cruiser HMAS Perth (D29) and Northampton-class cruiser USS Houston (CA 30) as hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) passes, Aug. 17, 2016.  Both ships sank March 1, 1942, during the World War II Battle of Sunda Strait. Mercy is sailing to the final mission stop of Pacific Partnership 2016 in Padang, Indonesia. Upon arrival, partner nations will work side-by-side with local military and non-government organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, community relation events, subject matter expert exchanges and a SAR exercise to better prepare for a natural disaster or crisis.
