PORT DICKSON, Malaysia (Aug. 12, 2015) - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Denise Wisniewski, Hawaii Army National Guard, Medical Detachment combat medic, teaches first responder medical techniques to members of the Malaysian armed forces as part of Exercise Keris Aman 2015 at the Segenting Camp. Keris Aman is the largest multinational training event this year and is co-hosted by the Malaysian armed forces and U.S. Pacific Command with representatives from 29 nations participating. The goals and objectives of the training event are to increase participants' interoperability and peacekeeping skills prior to deployment to UN missions.

WATERS TO THE SOUTH OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (May 25, 2015) - The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82), front, conducts a trilateral naval exercise with the Turkish frigate FTCD Gediz (F-495) and Republic of Korea navy destroyers Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong (DDG 993) and Gang Gam-chan (DDH 979) in support of theater security operations. Lassen is on routine patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

KORAT ROYAL THAI AIR FORCE BASE, Thailand (Mar. 17, 2015) - Multiple U.S. Air Force F-15's and a E-3 Sentry participate in exercise Cope Tiger (CT) Korat. CT15 includes 22 total flying units and over 1390 personnel from three countries and continues the growth of strong, interoperable, and beneficial relationships within the Asia-Pacific region through integration of airborne and land-based command and control assets.

POHANG, Republic of Korea (Feb. 13, 2015) - Republic of Korea (ROK) and U.S. Marines prepare to fire a shoulder-launched multipurpose assault weapon (SMAW) during Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-17 at the Cham Sae Mi Close-Quarters Battle Training. The SMAW is a shoulder-launched rocket weapon with the primary function of being a portable assault weapon and a secondary anti-armor rocket launcher. From planning to execution, KMEP 15-17 has been a bilateral and collaborative effort between ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces. The ROK Marines are with Company 5, 32nd Battalion, 1st ROK Marine Division. The U.S. Marines are with Company I, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
