Multinational disaster response exercise wraps up in Nepal

During the four-day exercise, participants from national militaries, government organizations, the United Nations and non-government entities were split into teams according to expertise to work through a common earthquake scenario while sharing knowledge, testing common operating procedures and making recommendations to improve future disaster planning and response procedures.

Vietnam welcomes Pacific Armies Management Seminar, Senior Enlisted Leader Forum
Lead delegates from 26 nations pose for a group photo following the opening ceremony for the 42nd Pacific Armies Management Seminar and 4th Senior Enlisted Leader Forum, 20 Aug. 2018, Hanoi, Vietnam. USARPAC, headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, and another Indo-Pacific country have co-hosted the event annually since 1977. The seminar is a forum for senior-level land force officers to meet and discuss professional military subjects on a non-attribution basis. It has proven its value by enhancing mutually beneficial army-to-army associations, furthering the long-term objectives of promoting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region through understanding, dialogue, and interpersonal relationships.
