U.S. Air Force Pararescue Airmen prepare for NASA’s SpaceX Demonstration Mission 2 on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, May 26, 2020. In preparation for the historic launch of a manned crew into space, several units from Team Hickam assisted the deployment of U.S. Air Force Guardian Angel Pararescue forces from the 58th Rescue Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada as part of Task Force 45, facilitated by 45th Operations Group, Detachment 3, Human Space Flight Support located at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida.

9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron B-1B Lancer mechanics take selfies as a B-1B flies overhead at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, May 21, 2020. In continued demonstration of the U.S. Air Force’s dynamic force employment model, two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers flew from Andersen AFB and conducted training in Alaska and near Misawa Air Base, Japan. The 9th EBS deployed to Guam from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, along with 200 Airmen assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess AFB, Texas, as part of a Bomber Task Force and is supporting Pacific Air Forces’ strategic deterrence missions and commitment to the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.

Wilsbach serves as the Deputy Commander, U.S. Forces Korea; Commander, Air Component Command, United Nations Command; Commander, Air Component Command, Combined Forces Command; and Commander, Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan AB, Republic of Korea. He was nominated by the president for a fourth star and to serve as the next PACAF commander, pending confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

According to the Center for Disease Control, face shields help prevent large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays or splatter that may contain germs from reaching the mouth and nose of the person wearing the shield.
