MRF-D 25.3: U.S. Marines and Airmen deliver critical supplies during foreign disaster relief in the Philippines
LAL-LO, Philippines (Aug. 8, 2025) — An MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 363, Marine Rotational Force - Darwin 25.3, flies in a formation flight with CV-22 Ospreys assigned to the 21st Special Operations Squadron, 353rd Special Operations Wing, near Lal-lo, Philippines, during a foreign disaster relief operation, Aug. 3, 2025. At the request of the Government of the Philippines, the MRF-D 25.3 Marine Air-Ground Task Force, working alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines, provide foreign disaster relief to communities affected by consecutive storms and the southwest monsoon. The forward presence and ready posture of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in the region, facilitates rapid and effective response to crises, demonstrating a commitment to allies and partners during times of need. MRF-D is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force, allies and partners and provide a forward-postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. USS America, 31st MEU commemorate 250 years with formation in Coral Sea
CORAL SEA (Aug. 2, 2025) — Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) and U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit stand in formation for a photo commemorating 250 years of naval service, while conducting operations in the Coral Sea, Aug. 2. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. DARWIN, Australia (July 13, 2025) — U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cindy Bollos, right, an ammo chief, and Lance Cpl. Jeziel Marin, a field artillery cannoneer, both with Kilo Battery, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3, fire an M777 Howitzer during Talisman Sabre 25 in the Northern Territory, Australia, July 13, 2025. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States, advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and partners, while enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns. MRF-D is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and allies and partners and provide a forward postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific.
