The 38th ADA Brigade command team met with members of TF Talon, learned their daily operations and welcomed them to the Pacific Guardian Brigade team during a visit to Guam, Oct. 6-8.

The Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), is being reassembled at NCS Harold E. Holt, near Exmouth, Australia. The SST is a ground-based optical system that detects and tracks small objects in deep space, and provides an unprecedented wide-area search capability that will enhance space situational awareness of the Southern Celestial Hemisphere.

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Ryan Okahara, the Hawaii Air National Guard commander and Indonesia Air Force Air First Marshal Widyargo Ikoputra, the Iswahjudi Air Force Base commander, receives a brief from F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots from both nations prior to the Cope West 19 closing ceremony at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado, Indonesia, June 28. Over the course of the two-week exercise, the two services flew a combined total of 130 sorties, affording both countries the opportunity to exchange knowledge and tactical consideration in modern air combat warfare during close air support training and air-to-air fighter training. 35th Civil Engineer Squadron Airmen Ensure F-16 Pilots Safety
A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 14 Fighter Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan, pulls the mobile aircraft arresting system (MAAS) cable at the Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado, Indonesia, June 17, 2019. The MAAS is a contingency airfield asset that allows for the safe retrieval of tail hook aircraft during an in-flight emergency.
