USS Louisiana Depart Naval Base Guam
(June 4, 2024) –The Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) departs U.S. Naval Base Guam following a scheduled port visit, June 4. This port visit reflects the strategic importance of Guam and the United States' commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region. The visit further enhances significant partnerships shared between DoD, the government of Guam and the island community. The primary role of EA-18G Growlers is to disrupt the ability to communicate between units in combat through the use of electronic warfare.
