PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 22, 2025) — An AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element (ACE), takes off from the flight deck the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), while conducting flight operations in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 22. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
