USS Germantown Arrives in Phuket
Marines, from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Division, stand watch on the forecastle, as the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) prepares to anchor near Phuket, Thailand. Germantown, part of Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, is deployed to the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.

USS Boxer and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit Arrive in Guam
The amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) transits Apra Harbor. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.

Master Chief Equipmentman Emory Cole, from Loma Linda, California and assigned to Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT 2) Construction Dive Detachment /Bravo (CDD/B), carries a suction hose on a shoal in a channel at the Sapwauhfik Atoll in the Federated States of Micronesia on Oct. 24, 2019 in support of Triggerfish 2019. Triggerfish is a U.S. Third Fleet-led mission that employs expeditionary forces to conduct hydrographic surveys and clear hazards to navigation in the Federated States of Micronesia in order to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) arrives in Cairns, Australia for a scheduled port visit. Green Bay, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, participated in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
