Carrier Air Wing Five-5 Conducts Change of Command

PHILIPPINE SEA - Capt. Forrest Young, left, and Capt. Michael Rovenolt, far right, Commander, Carrier Air Wing 5, walk away from their aircraft on the flight deck aboard the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) after Carrier Air Wing 5’s (CVW 5) change of command ceremony. Young was relieved as commanding officer of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 by Rovenolt. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
