RIMPAC
(July 20, 2016) - Paratroopers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) conduct a water jump off the eastern coast of Oahu during Rim of the Pacific 2016. Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971.

31st MEU Shallow Water Egress Training
An underwater egress training instructor prepares Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit on breathing through an emergency escape breathing device Nov. 17, 2015, on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Marines attended the Shallow Water Egress Training Course to prepare them in the event that their vehicle were to crash in water. JOINT BASE ELEMENDORF-RICHADSON, Alaska (May 21, 2015) - A Tactical Air Control Party specialist with Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron, jumps out of a UH-60 Black Hawk during Kodiak Solstice jump week on JBER Thursday. Kodiak Solstice was hosted by the 3rd ASOS and integrated Soldiers from the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th infantry Division.

JOINT BASE ELMENDOR-RICHARDSON, Alaska (Apr. 13, 2015) - An Army paratrooper jumps from a U.S. Marine Corps C-130 Hercules aircraft over Malemute drop zone. The paratrooper is assigned to the 25th Infantry Division's 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The paratroopers jumped in observance of Women's History Month to build camaraderie and leadership among service women.

U.S.-Japan Exercise North Wind brings U.S. kicks off in Hokkaido
YAUSUBETSU TRAINING AREA, HOKKAIDO, Japan (Feb. 10, 2015) - Maj. David Nelson (left), battalion operations officer for 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, and Col. Osamu Asai, commander of 27th Infantry Regiment, 5th Brigade, Northern Army, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), salute the Soldiers participating in Exercise North Wind 2015 during the Start Ex ceremony. Nelson and 50 paratroopers with the Spartan Brigade are in Japan to participate in Exercise North Wind 2015, a two-week bilateral field training and command post exercise to increase combat readiness and interoperability amongst U.S. Army personnel and the JGSDF to respond to a wide range of crisis contingencies in the Asian-Pacific region.
