Korean and American SOF Service Members Demonstrate Unity Through Combined Freefall Jump

Republic of Korea Special Warfare Command and Special Operations Command Korea special operations forces service members participate in a combined military freefall jump Oct. 4, 2019, in Gyeryong, South Korea. The jump was part of the opening ceremonies for the Ground Forces Festival, an annual event that attracts upwards of a million people each year. The JPADS is an autonomous system designed to provide accurate delivery of cargo and supplies to ground component forces.

Landing Support Company Executes Paraloft Training Operations on Le Shima

Lance Cpl. Daniel Vollman parachutes to the ground after jumping from a CH-53E Super Stallion during parachute training operations Aug. 13, 2018 at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan. Landing Support Company completed parachute and air delivery training to ensure Marines maintain proficiency and meet required training hours. Vollman, a parachute rigger with Air Delivery Platoon, LS Co., 3rd Transportation Support Battalion, is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana.

VMGR-152 conducts air delivery with 1st SFG

U.S. Army Soldiers with 1-1st Special Forces Group (SFG), descend from a KC-130J Hercules with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152, during air delivery training for a static line jumpmaster course at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Aug. 22, 2017. The air delivery was part of unit-level training Evergreen. Air delivery offers the ability to maximize the number of personnel and equipment rapidly delivered to a forward location, with little or no ground support in the objective area. Evergreen will serve as VMGR-152’s 2017 Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation through tri-lateral training with the U.S. Army 160th Special operations Aviation Regiment and the 1st SFG to gain valuable insight on the most recent Operation Inherent Resolve assault-support tactics.
