U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Stratton arrives in Manila for trilatera

MANILA, Philippines - Members from the Philippine Coast Guard, Japan Coast Guard, U.S. Coast Guard and government officials from each country stand-arm and-arm with each other following the arrival of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Stratton (WMSL 752) and the Japan Coast Guard Vessel Akitsushima (PLH 32) to Manila, Philippines, for a trilateral engagement between the three coast guards, June 1. Stratton deployed to the Western Pacific under U.S. Navy 7th Fleet command to serve as a non-escalatory asset for the promotion of a rules-based order in the maritime domain by engaging with partner nations and allies in the region.
