U.S. Coast Guard completes patrol working with local partners, returns son of Tinian home

SANTA RITA, Guam - USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) and Maritime Safety and Security Team Honolulu boarding team personnel work with the Department of Public Safety – Boating Safety Division in Tinian to conduct boating safety operations in Tinian on Dec. 11, 2022. The crew completed a local patrol with the USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) off Guam and the CNMI from Nov. 28 to Dec. 7, 2022, including the first-ever 154-foot Fast Response Cutter port visit to Tinian. The objectives of this patrol support Operation Blue Pacific. They include supporting Maritime Safety and Security Team Honolulu law enforcement boardings, validating Tinian as a port of call for future U.S. Coast Guard ship visits, and conducting community engagements
