Captain Scott Spears speaks with Sailors assigned to Commander, Submarine Group 7 (CSG-7) during a tour of the Pathfinder-class oceanographic survey ship USNS Mary Sears (T-AGS 65), Oct. 20, 2022. U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more that 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare area to make better decisions, based on assured environmental information, faster than the adversary. CSG-7 directs forward-deployed, combat capable forces across the full spectrum of undersea warfare throughout the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea.
