MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan - U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Trey Branch, an 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) team chief, prepares for a FARP refueling during Operation Iron Dagger on Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Dec. 7, 2021. FARP specialists perform covert nighttime refueling operations in deployed locations when air-to-air refueling is impossible or where fueling points are inaccessible. Operation Iron Dagger is a dynamic force employment that allows U.S. forces to be strategically predictable and operationally unpredictable in the Indo-Pacific region.
