Sailors aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) man the rails as the ship departs Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan (CFAS) Sept. 15, 2021. Germantown departed San Diego Jan. 5, 2011 and will return to homeport there following a decade of service as a forward-deployed ship at CFAS in the U.S. 7th Fleet.
