JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii - U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Summer Mitchell, 8th Intelligence Squadron imagery analyst, smiles for a photo at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 9, 2021. Mitchell was born in 2000, making her only a year old when the 9/11 attacks transpired. The effects of that day gradually became more impactful after she understood the tragedy of that day.
