Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Gerczak conducts patrol to increase maritime presence in Pacific

HONOLULU, Hawaii - In this file photo, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Gerczak (WPC 1124) departs Hilo Habor, Hawaii, following Hurricane Lane's passing, Aug. 25, 2018. The cutter was one of two Honolulu-based Fast Response Cutters positioned in Hilo to ride out the hurricane, while also being at the ready to respond to an offshore emergency if needed.
