Equipment Operator 2nd Class Scott Valente, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, Detail Tinian, and from Ramona, California, removes power-line poles obstructing Tinian’s fire department access to the road using a CAT 924-G front-end loader as part of a defense support of civilian authorities action. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
