Construction Electrician 3rd Class Ignacio Munguia (front) and Equipment Operator Constructionman James Caouette, with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Pohnpei, cut plywood for the soffit at the quarantine head and shower facility at Misco Beach, Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are constructing head and shower facilities to assist the local government in a proactive response to the COVID-19 outbreak. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
