U.S. Army Teams with Fijian Military for Exercise Cartwheel 2019

LABASA, Fiji - Airport workers unload a C-130 Hercules at the Nadi International Airport, July 27. The aircraft was one of two that brought by the U.S. Army, bringing Soldiers serving with the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, to stage and prepare for Exercise Cartwheel that will start on the 29th. Exercise Cartwheel is a bilateral military-to-military training exercise and is an opportunity to enhance professional relationships, military operations, and readiness between the U.S. Army and Fijian forces while strengthening security relations for a free and open Indo-Pacific.
