USS Ronald Reagan, JS Izumo Sail Together in the South China Sea

SOUTH CHINA SEA - The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer JS Murasame (DD 101) operates alongside the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The ships, along with JS Izumo (DDH 183) and JS Akebono (DD 108) conducted communication checks, tactical maneuvering drills and liaison officer exchanges June 10-12 designed to address common maritime security priorities and enhance interoperability at sea.
