USS Portland commissioned in namesake city

PORTLAND, Oregon - A crowd of nearly 5,000 attends the commissioning ceremony for USS Portland (LPD 27), April 21, 2018. The 11th San Antonio class amphibious transport ship, Portland and is the second ship to honor the City of Portland, Oregon, and is the third U.S. Navy ship to bear the name Portland.
