U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels facilities section prepare to fill 50-gallon liquid oxygen carts at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Dec. 4, 2017. Oxygen is pressurized and cooled into a liquid state in order to transport it more efficiently from cryogenic tanks to JBER’s aircraft to provide fresh air to pilots in flight.
