31st MEU Marines back to sea after training in Guam

SOUTH ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Lance Cpl. Jonathan M. Frink, left, and Lance Cpl. Connor J. Dunning prepare an M224A1 60mm mortar system during Military Operations in Urbanized Terrain (MOUT) training at Andersen South Air Force Base, Guam, September 1, 2017. Frink and Dunning are both mortarmen with India Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. Marines with BLT 3/5 train regularly in different environments to maintain their readiness as the Ground Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 31st MEU partners with the Navy's Amphibious Squadron 11 to form the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, providing a cohesive blue-green team capable of accomplishing a variety of missions across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
