United States ambassador to Japan tours operations at Yama Sakura 69

United States Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy arrives with Japan Minister of Defense Gen Nakatani (right) at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Middle Army Headquarters on Camp Itami, Japan, Dec. 9. Kennedy visited with U.S. and Japan Self-Defense Force service members to observe Yama Sakura 69 operations. Yama Sakura is a two-week training event and the largest bilateral command post exercise for the two nations, with more than 6,500 service members participating.
