Marines aboard Camp Schwab participate in Shanghai Cup competition

Lance Cpl. Marcus G. Merritt, left, and Lance Cpl. Luke Copeland participate in a sumo wrestling competition as part of the Shanghai Cup competition Nov. 10 aboard Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. The goal of the competition was to knock the opponent out of the circle to win points for their teams. The match is three rounds long. Merritt is a rifleman and Copeland is a machine gunner with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment; currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
