Sapper training tests combat engineers across services

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (Aug. 28, 2015) - Combat engineers move to a UH-47 aircraft to begin a helocast operation where they will be expected to jump out into the ocean while moving at speeds over 10 knots per hour into Aug. 28, 2015, during the Pfc. Gaviola Expert Sapper Competition. Expert Sapper training helps to maintain the combat readiness of the troops who participated in the week long exercise.
