Exercise Cope South is a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored bilateral tactical airlift exercise. Brown and Chief Bass spoke about modernizing the Air Force, investing in and empowering Airmen, and preparing to tackle new warfighting domains of space and cyberspace. The CSAF and CMSAF also recognized Airmen from around the command for their hard work, and answered questions about quality-of-life improvements, COVID-19, changes to feedback and evaluation systems, and the future of the mission in the Indo-Pacific region.

A panel of nearly 30 subject matter experts from across the Department of the Air Force met Nov. 16, 2021, at the Basic Research Innovation and Collaboration Center in Arlington, Va. and via a virtual teleconferencing platform to conduct the Spark Tank 2022 quarterfinals. Only the top 8% percent of ideas were selected to compete in the semifinals scheduled for Jan. 6, 2022.

70th Annual Operation Christmas Drop kicks off Dec. 6 in Guam
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 734th Air Mobility Squadron, 44th Aerial Port Squadron and the 374th Airlift Wing unload humanitarian supplies from a U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron, deployed from Yokota Air Base, Japan, at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam in preparation for Operation Christmas Drop, Dec. 1, 2021. Over the course of 10 days, crews will airdrop donated food, supplies, educational materials, and tools to 55 islanders throughout the South-Eastern Pacific, including the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
