U.S., Australia Sign Agreement to Develop Virtual Training Range
A U.S. and a Canadian service member take part in Cyber Flag 20-2, June 19, 2020. U.S. Cyber Command employed a new virtual training platform, the Persistent Cyber Training Environment. During the two-week exercise, there were more than 500 participants worldwide. The exercise spanned nine different time zones and 17 cyber teams. Teams came from the Air National Guard, Coast Guard, the Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Postal Service, the Energy Department and Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. US, Japanese, Australian Forces Train Together during Pacific Defender 20-1
Members of the Royal Australian Air Force, U.S. Air Force, and Koku Jieitai (Japan Air Self-Defense Force) participate in a simulated live fire scenario during Pacific Defender 20-1 at the Pacific Regional Training Center near Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 11, 2020. The amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) arrives in Cairns, Australia for a scheduled port visit. Green Bay, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, participated in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
