U.S., Australia Sign Agreement to Develop Virtual Training Range

A U.S. and a Canadian service member take part in Cyber Flag 20-2, June 19, 2020. U.S. Cyber Command employed a new virtual training platform, the Persistent Cyber Training Environment. During the two-week exercise, there were more than 500 participants worldwide. The exercise spanned nine different time zones and 17 cyber teams. Green Bay, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, participated in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
