U.S., Japan, Australia integrate Allied Logistics during Tri-Lateral Operations
The U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), steams in formation with Royal Australian Navy supply ship, HMAS Stalwart (A304), Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ship, JS Setogiri (DD 156), in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 20. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports Alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.

The U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), steams in formation with Indian Navy Ship, INS Shivalik (F47), during Exercise Malabar 2022, in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 11. Malabar 2022 is a Japan-led, surface, air, and subsurface multi-lateral field training exercise with the Indian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Navy and U.S. Navy. Malabar 2022 enhances interoperability between Australian, Indian, Japanese and U.S. maritime forces, strengthens the critical partnerships and demonstrates U.S. naval presence in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Sentinel-class fast response cutter USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) crew moors in Cairns for engagements with Australian Defence and Home Affairs partners and local representatives, Aug. 31, 2022. The U.S. Coast Guard is conducting a routine deployment in Oceania as part of Operation Blue Pacific, working alongside Allies, building maritime domain awareness, and sharing best practices with partner nation navies and coast guards. Op Blue Pacific is an overarching multi-mission U.S. Coast Guard endeavor promoting security, safety, sovereignty, and economic prosperity in Oceania while strengthening relationships with our regional partners.
