MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan - U.S. Air Force Military Working Dog handlers assigned to the 35th Security Forces Squadron and Japan Air Self-Defense Force security forces K-9 handlers assigned to the 3rd and 4th Air Wings pose for a group photo at the end of a joint bilateral K-9 exercise at Misawa Air Base, Japan, April 10, 2026. The exercise enhanced bilateral mission readiness by preparing handlers and their canine partners to conduct integrated defense in high-stress and contingency environments, enabling Misawa AB to rapidly respond to emerging threats and sustain operations across the region.
